AI-powered personalized learning in legal education: A tool for developing future ready lawyers

Author(s): Aderonke Adegbite and Salami Suleiman

Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming legal education by shifting from traditional, lecture-based instruction to adaptive, student-centered learning. AI-powered personalized learning tools enhance engagement, develop critical thinking, and align legal education with the evolving demands of global legal practice. By integrating simulations, intelligent tutoring systems, and data-driven feedback, AI bridges the gap between theory and practice, equipping law students with the skills needed for the digital age. However, this innovation also brings ethical, practical, and access-related challenges that must be addressed to ensure equitable implementation and effective educational outcomes.
