Abstract: Intermediary Guidelines provide a framework which helps to ensure the smooth functioning of various intermediaries like Hosts, search engine providers and internet service providers. This paper mainly deals with the fundamental right of speech and expression concerning the right of every citizen to freely express themselves as an individual living in a democracy, on one side and the restrictions that governments impose on free speech being circulated on various intermediaries like social media platforms for the purposes of protecting the sovereignty and integrity of India and securing peace in the country.
