Author(s): Abdykalykov Askar
Abstract: This article examines the opportunities, challenges, and prospects for the development of the institution of trust in Kyrgyzstan's legal system. The nature of trust as a legal instrument is explored, highlighting its universality and functionality in the context of asset management, estate planning, philanthropy, and the protection of property interests. The current legal framework of Kyrgyzstan and its limitations in adapting the concept of trust to the national system are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to international experience, including the use of trusts for managing corporate and family assets, as well as their role in attracting investments and fostering philanthropic initiatives. The importance of developing a comprehensive regulatory framework, training specialists, and considering sociocultural characteristics for the successful integration of trusts into Kyrgyzstan's legal and economic systems is emphasized.
